Classroom Routines

Reading:

Children will read with a teacher at least once during the week during guided reading.  Reading books will be changed on a Monday.  Children will be allocated a day when they can choose a new library book.  

Children must bring their reading books and records to school every day and practise their reading each night. Please ensure that you have signed your child’s reading record so that we are able to see when they have read.

You might explore characters, storylines or new vocabulary together.

Remember the whole school target is 5 reads each week.

If your child needs a different reading book please use the books allocated to your child on the Bug Club website.  

Homework:

Home learning will be set each Friday on Showbie and should be completed by the following Thursday. This includes daily reading and 4 for 4 maths worksheets.

PE:

Children will be working with CCSP and other sports companies throughout the year for PE. Children come to school in their PE Kit on the days when PE is taught.  Your class teacher will let you know of any changes to theses days on Class Dojo.  Currently its a Wednesday and a Thursday.

Reminders:

Earrings need to be removed and long hair must be tied up.

All clothing/equipment needs to be named, including water bottles.
