On Friday 2nd February, Herons and Kestrels visited Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Preston) to learn about Sikhism. The children had an excellent time and learnt lots about Sikhism. They had the chance to visit the prayer room where they were shown the scripts that are used today within Sikhism.
On Friday 10th November, Herons and Kestrels went to Adlington St Paul's Church to take part in a Remembrance Day Service with other local schools.
The children participated in a number of songs of remembrance and Herons performed a short poem to remember those that sacrificed their lives.
They then visited the memorial to lay wreaths and take part in a 2 minute silence.
All the children were incredibly well behaved and respectful throughout the morning and were a credit to themselves and the school.
