During Science Week this year, Kingfisher Class has been focused on a special 'Stemterprise' project. We have worked together to design, make and market a new lunchtime food product (a flavoured bread). We have become plant experts in the process! We know where different foods come from and how to grow ingredients from seed. We have designed healthy recipes and thought about the functions of the different parts of the plants. We understand reproduction in flowering plants too. We can't wait to make and taste our flavoured breads next!
We used chives and rosemary to make some delicious recipes in Kingfisher Class. Have a look at the photos of us making cheese and chive scones and garlic and rosemary flatbreads. Mmmm!
