Wow! What a fantastic day we had at Smithills farm, the children represented our school brilliantly and their behaviour was superb! We started by meeting Farmer Adam who looked after us the whole day. The children then all had a turn at riding a donkey. We then went to feed the animals, the children got to feed goats, llamas, sheep and alpacas. After that we went to the pets corner where we got to hold and feed lots of baby animals, they were all so cute! Once we had had lunch we went on a very bumpy tractor ride, Farmer Joanne went really fast for us. We finished our day by meeting Rusty the Robot who is a machine that milks the cows. The robot was incredible and so clever, it can milk each of the cows up to 3 times a day and knows exactly how much milk has been taken and whether it is good to drink or not.
A superb day at Smithills, the children fully deserved such an exciting treat!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
