Reading:

Your child will read as part of a group twice a week.  This is their guided reading book that will be kept in school. They will also bring home an additional book to read of their choice . Children need to have their reading books in school every day. We would like children to read 5 times a week. This can include newspapers articles,other books from home, books or articles they read online. Please ensure your child records this in their reading log.

The days on which your child will read depends on where their group is placed on the timetable, therefore some groups will read the beginning of the week and some will read towards the end. Children are encouraged to change their home reader when they arrive at school in the morning. 

Homework:

Homework will be sent home every Friday and will need to be returned the following Thursday. These activities will be related to something that we have done or will be doing in class during the week. The children will be able to share and consolidate their learning. 

PE/Games:

Please ensure that you keep up to date with our PE days. On days in which your child has PE please ensure that they come to school in full PE kit. 

Please ensure uniform, PE kits and water bottles are clearly named.
