Friendship Week

WC 13th November - Friendship Week

The children have had a very exciting week taking part in lots of friendship activities. We thought about what the word friendship means. On Monday we discussed what the key to being a good friend is and the children made their own key with words on explaining how to be a good friend. On Tuesday we said "No to bullies!" and made our own bully-proof shields. We learnt all about the Rainbow Fish on Wednesday and the children collaged their own fish. The story taught us about how important it is to share, just like the Rainbow Fish shared his scales. The children wrote about a time they had shared something and how it made them feel on the back of their fish.

As a special treat the whole school got to watch the pantomine 'Cinderella' on Friday morning. The children were so excited and absolutely loved it.

Another fantastic week working hard! This week the children started thinking about their own firework poems and wrote sounds as words. In Maths we started our new topic of fractions and we wished the pictures of the pizzas and cakes we chopped up into 'equal' and 'not equal' parts were real!
